About The Exhibit
The culture which began around 1979, flourished in the ‘80s, would become know and preserved as “Wortown Rising.” The exhibit focuses on the scene’s deep local roots and talks about the four major components of Hip-Hop culture – graffiti, breaking, DJ-ing and emceeing. The “Wortown Rising” collection is on loan to Museum of Worcester from Worcester Hip-Hop artist Kaz Supernova.
This exhibit is sponsored in part by a grant from Mass Cultural Council.
